Sales Tax Rate Changes To see the new sales tax rate for your county visit the Utah State Tax Commission’s
webpage dedicated to Utah Sales and Use Tax Rates http://www.tax.utah.gov/sales/rates.html. This change comes as a result of a bill passed by
our legislature in order to provide additional funding for regional transportation facility projects and/or services. For your business, you will need to update your tax rate within your computer system
after the close of business on March 31st and prior to opening on April 1st. You
have several support options to make these changes: 1) Follow Online Directions. Click on your
type of point-of-sale system to find instructions on how to configure the new tax rate.
2) Call Technical Support. The number for
Technical Support is (801) 486-2151. During business hours
we will charge $25 and after hours we will charge $50 for each phone support call. 3) Schedule a Service Call. Service calls will be done at the prevailing rates for any other onsite service and scheduled when possible. |
